Puppy contract
Clear terms, kindly meant
Every puppy is placed with a written contract that protects the puppy, you, and us. Here's a summary of what it covers.
Important: this page is a plain-language summary, not the binding agreement and not legal advice. Your official contract and secure payments are completed through Good Dog. Edit the bracketed terms to match your real contract, and consider an attorney review.
Reserving your puppy
- A non-refundable reservation deposit of [amount] holds your place, paid securely through Good Dog
- The remaining balance is due [when — e.g. before or at pickup]
- [Your pickup and/or travel/shipping terms]
Health & care
- The puppy is sold in good health, backed by our health guarantee
- You agree to a veterinary exam within [time frame] and to ongoing, responsible care
- [Spay/neuter terms for pet homes, and timing]
Our commitments & yours
- Pet puppies are placed on a [pet / non-breeding] basis unless otherwise agreed in writing
- If you can ever no longer keep your dog, it must come back to us — never a shelter
- We remain available for guidance for the life of your dog
The full terms are laid out in the contract you'll complete on Good Dog before bringing your puppy home.
